Making beef liver and onions

Quasimodo's liver was a little bigger then a football and flat as a pancake. Isabelle and I decided to make beef liver and onions in a crock pot (recipe found here-http://cookingwithserena.com/?p=40048) We had so much fun together Isabelle floured the liver and I fried it and chopped up the onions. She was so happy to work with me and it made me smile how she continually said, "Thank you so much for letting YOU help me!" I was reading the section on Organ meat in Sally Falons "Nourishing Traditions" cookbook which reminded me of the health benefits of liver in your diet. This super food is high in iron, copper, vitamin A,B,D,B12, and K. This was a wonderful way to end the day as we added liver to our menu a year ago and eat it weekly. Anniversary: 22 years

When Mom asks Dad to wear something he doesn't ask questions...... but he might offer a funny look that has a question mark in it. Mom is always competing on some level and she always seems to come out victorious.....she doesn't mind how she looks doing it either.

Learning new things

This is my second day in Minnesota, I still can't believe we're here! Mom woke me up at 6:30 telling me that she needed me to come into keep Isaiah occupied while he was getting dressed. We arrived at the hospital around 8:10. I was introduced to the Caregivers, amazing women that have gone out of their way to bless our family with their expertize. I was so touched by their humble servant hood; their presence brought so much peace. Silvia started teaching Rachel how to apply the salve while I cozied up to Isaiah. The hour and a half seemed like 15 minutes as I peeked up between entertaining to see the miracles that happened behind the salve. Isaiah did beautifully through the whole process. Afterwards you could tell he felt much more comfortable. He ate all his breakfast and was smiling and laughing amiably. I am learning so much about burns and how to treat them from these sweet ladies. I'm sure God is going to use this opportunity for me to help someone in the future. Pr...
